CULTURE CUSTOMS OF SAN SEBASTIÁN.

San Sebastián de Buenavista Magdalena; the land of chandé, is a municipality located to the south of the departament of magdalena where good, humble, simple people of good customs and forward-thinking people can be found.

The Magdalena river, and the San Sebastianera land are witnesses of the hard work that our  fishermen and peasants do daily to follow a tradition that our acestors have left us. A canoe, a paddle, a cast net, a machete, a hat, musical instruments, dances and costumes are representative insignia of the triethnic history of the chaneros.

In San Sebastián, one of the most recognized airs in our caribbean región is celebrated every year in december, such as "el chandé" where the greatest participants of this musical air are honored such as: LA CHULA, PEDRO MANUEL CASTRILLO, SEBASTIÁN CARO "Chan Caro", GABRIEL JIMENEZ "Trollo", amony other great native exponents of this native music of the region.

THANK YOU.
